Yogi’s from near and far flocked to the mountains of Whistler this past weekend for 4 days of blissful connection and fun at the Canadian debut of Wanderlust!
Reno taught 4 classes throughout the festival in the spirit of traditonal Vinyasa krama peppered with the One Love flavor of music & humor. In-between we strolled the village, meeting up with friends and new friends, and we both were lucky enough able to jump into a few sessions with some amazing teachers.
Highlighting our festival experience was the chance to meet, practice and teach to the beats of DJ Drez who has been a household favorite for years. He selected an amazing score of Bhakti Dubs and Rootsy Reggae Beats for our final class on Sunday Morning – where Reno taught with Marley at his heart, so that was extra special for our family to get to be there together! The Heart of a Lion practice was playful and challenging. Reno outlined the parallels between yoga & Rastafari and we practiced the Unity Mudra as a collective, sharing the One vibration of Om.
Our little Marley got to attend the first concert of her life – to our delight, with Michael Franti – whose positive vibes echoed off the glowing mountains. The shakti had been building over the past 3 days and it was the perfect evening to unite everyone in the spirit of music. The town was buzzing after the show!
Over the course of the weekend, seeing so many great people – all on a prana high to be indulging in their passion of yoga – we were reminded of our connection to the One. Whatever “yoga” you were doing, it all came back to the collective, to the One, to the Love – we were all there to take it all in and give it all back. The setting was amazing – and a beautiful chance to plant your feet on the ground for a moment look around in awe and just take a deep breath.

Gratitude to Lululemon for their support & blessed to share space with Ryan and Caitlin. Amazing to reconnect with so many wonderful yogi’s all coming together for Wanderlust.
